Abstract: Based on daily precipitation observation data of three meteorological observation stations in Rizhao City, Shandong Province from 1951 to 2020 and spring and autumn sowing progress data of Rizhao Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau from 2011 to 2018, trend analysis, probability statistics and other methods were adopted．Distribution characteristics of precipitation probability during spring sowing from April to May, autumn sowing from October to November and distribution characteristics of spring and autumn sowing schedule in this region were obtained, and the refined best sowing time during spring and autumn sowing in Rizhao City, Shandong Province was established under background of climate change．Results showed that suitable dates for spring sowing in Rizhao City were April 20 and May 11 in Donggang District, April 30 and May 11 in Juxian County, and April 20 and May 29 in Wulian County．The suitable period for autumn sowing was October 9-10, 13, 20-21 in Donggang District, October 11, 1-3 in Juxian County, and October 3, 5, 9-10 in Wulian County．Sowing progress in spring and autumn was significantly correlated with daily precipitation during the period．Determination of fine sowing time plays a positive role in guiding agricultural production during local spring and autumn sowing．
