Abstract:
It is significant to clarify development directions and characteristics of marine fishery carbon sink research at home and abroad, which is of theoretical and practical value for China to learn from international experience and achieve "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" goals and concept of green, low-carbon fishery industry development.Domestic and foreign characteristics and development trends of marine fishery carbon sink research were analyzed with help of bibliometric analysis and systematic review method.Using Citespace visualization technology, hot spots, main research directions and general progress of domestic and foreign marine fishery carbon sink research development since the beginning of the 21st century(2001―2022)were analyzed.Data from Web of Science(WOS)and China National Knowledge Internet(CNKI)were baselines.Firstly, "carbon sink fishery", "carbon cycle" and "ocean carbon sink" were identified to be top three dominant areas through keyword clustering analysis.Secondly, fishery carbon sink(from 2020)and ecosystem services(from 2022)have become highly visible keywords in international academic journals recently, indicating that international research on serviceability of marine ecosystems and their relationship with humans were gradually increasing.Thirdly, during the past 20 years, America has published the most articles in field of marine fishery carbon sink and has the largest betweenness centrality.Research institutions in Germany, Britain and Australia also have brilliant research results.China has a remarkable growth rate of articles and is keeping catching up with and surpass advanced levels.Fourthly, there are both similarities and differences in the focus of domestic and international research on marine fishery carbon sink.The main directions of China's research on marine fishery carbon sink were focused on: principles of marine carbon sink, analysis of effect of marine carbon sink, marine carbon sink enhancement technology and marine carbon collection and utilization and storage technology.However, other countries focued more on evolution of marine ecosystems and their impacts on humans.Fifthly, accounts on marine carbon sink, metrological analysis of physical quantity of marine carbon sink and calculation of marine carbon sink value have received more and more attention.In the meantime, research on breeding mechanism, development model, market construction and incentives of fishery carbon sink has been on upward trend noticeably.
