Abstract: Mulberry planting and sericulture have a long history, with ancient and traditional sericulture techniques．With development of economy and society, sericulture, as a labor-intensive agriculture, urgently needs multi-level sericulture technology and equipment such as light simplification, mechanization, automation, and intelligence．Research status and characteristics of sericulture machinery was introduced from various production links and operational requirements of sericulture．Existing problems in application of small and medium sized sericulture machinery were summarized, and research and development trend of sericulture machinery was look forward ．
