Abstract:
A sweet potato ridge shaping machine suppression and shaping device has been designed based on requirements of sweet potato agronomic planting to address problems of uneven and non adjustable ridge compactness caused by operation of existing sweet potato ridge shaping machines.By using hydraulic drive, it was possible to adjust speed of compaction roller during compaction and shaping operations under different working conditions.Through theoretical calculations and analysis, structural parameters of compression shaping device and selection of hydraulic system components have been determined.Through discrete element simulation experiments, its performance was verified and optimal operating speed range was determined.This suppression and shaping device could meet subsequent transplanting operations of sweet potatoes after shaping, laying foundation for full mechanization of sweet potato operations.
