Abstract: Plant Chemical Protection course is one of the five core courses in plant protection major, bearing responsibility of imparting professional knowledge and intellectual education．This course occupies a very important position and role in cultivation of high-quality and high-level plant protection talents．In context of new era, based on teaching content of this course, incorporating ideological and political education elements, integration of professional knowledge with national confidence, cultural confidence, and socialist core values and other ideological and political education, can enable students to take a dialectical approach to development and use of pesticides while learning professional courses, establish a legal concept, cultivate students' awareness of protecting environment, and enhance national confidence and pride．
