Abstract:
To investigate effects of different types of biostimulants on tomato growth and quality, three types of biostimulants were selected for experimental research, including plant derived amino acid(extracted from corn), animal derived amino acid(extracted from fish), and alginate(extracted from seaweed). Results showed that all three types of biostimulants could promote growth of tomato roots, stems, and leaves, and all had a yield increasing effect, with yields increasing by 11.3%, 36.9%, and 13.9% respectively compared to the control.Animal derived amino acid biostimulants had a more significant yield increasing effect.Application of biostimulants could significantly increase Vc, lycopene, sugar acid ratio, and protein content, thereby improving tomato quality.Among them, animal derived amino acid biostimulants had a more significant effect on improving quality. It could provide a theoretical basis for application of biostimulants in facility tomato cultivation.
