Abstract: Grass cultivation technology has become an important part of fruit healthy growing system, but application rate of technology in China is not high．SWOT analysis method was used to summarize application potential of grass cultivation mode in orchards from aspects of promoting fruit tree growth, improving fruit quality, water and soil conservation, fertilizing soil, stabilizing ecology and improving carbon sequestration potential．Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats were analyzed, prospect of technology research and development was put forward, to provide a theoretical basis for promoting development of grass cultivation mode in orchards and sustainable development of modern orchards．
