Abstract:
Northern Shaanxi is located in Loess Plateau hinterland, belongs to semi-arid climate, due to long-term exploitation of natural resources in recent years, groundwater level has dropped.Efficient use of limited groundwater is vital for regional economic development and quality of life.An intelligent water-saving irrigation system based on internet of things and cloud computing technologies has been developed with two working modes: manual mode and unmanned automatic mode.In manual mode, solenoid valves were controlled via cloud platform buttons and applets.In unmanned automatic mode, system used sensor data and weather forecasts for intelligent decisions and automatic regulation of irrigation.Solar-powered of this system was suitable for smart agriculture, landscaping, and mining water management.Meanwhile, system could improve working environment of relevant workers by remote operation, reduce labor intensity, and realize information empowerment.
