Abstract: Engineering education specialty certification is an assessment and evaluation of engineering education in ordinary colleges and universities．It is an examination system implemented to promote high-quality development of China's higher education and international standards and is basis of mutual recognition of engineering talents between countries．Engineering education specialty certification is mainly aimed at cultivation of students' comprehensive ability and quality, the most important of which was cultivation of engineering practice ability．Aiming at requirement of engineering practice on students' practical ability, and taking systematic teaching reform of engineering practice for engineering majors in Shanxi Agriculture University as main content, significance of engineering education specialty certification for improvement of students' practical ability was discussed．
