Abstract: Livestock and poultry cleaning robot is a vital segment within agricultural robotics domain, and it is an important trend in modern farming industry development for livestock and poultry cleaning robot to replace manual labor, improve production efficiency, and cope with harsh environments．Firstly, definition and industrial demands of livestock and poultry cleaning robot were offered, current developmental status was analyzed, an overview of associated industries was organized, and several common livestock and poultry cleaning robots were introduced, including cowshed cleaning robot, piggery cleaning robot, poultry house cleaning robot, and pigeon farm cleaning robot．Secondly, types of robot, operational mechanisms, and application scenarios were sorted out, and various technologies involved, such as autonomous navigation, multi-sensor integration, and ultrasonic obstacle avoidance were analyzed．Finally, a summary of livestock and poultry cleaning robot was made, indicating distinctive features and challenges faced by livestock and poultry cleaning robot, such as adaptability to intricate environments and intellectualization degree．According to China's current situation of livestock and poultry cleaning robot development, future development trend and development proposals were proposed．
