Abstract: Prevention and control of residual plastic film pollution in cotton fields is a key and difficulty of residual plastic film pollution in Binzhou City, Shandong Province．Residual plastic film pollution in cotton fields in Binzhou City was investigated and analyzed, and characteristics and current status of plastic film pollution in cotton fields were elucidated．Drawing on relevant experiences in controlling residual plastic film pollution from regions like Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and other placesand combining with Binzhou City's recent practices in managing residual plastic film pollution in cotton fields, pathways were explored for preventing and controlling this pollution and suggestions were offered for managing residual plastic film pollution in cotton fields．A reference was provided for plastic film-covered cotton cultivation and residual plastic film pollution prevention in Binzhou City．
