Abstract: As an important crop in Sichuan Province, ratoon rice has increasingly gained prominence in agricultural production．With continuous promotion of agricultural modernization, application of mechanized harvesting technology is of great significance to improve ratoon rice harvesting efficiency, reduce labor intensity, and increase farmers' income．Ratoon rice harvesting mechanization development status in Sichuan Province was analyzed, current problems and challenges were deeply analyzed, which was mainly affected by terrain and planting mode, while existing harvesting equipment was poor adaptability and lack of key core technology．To solve above problems, corresponding countermeasures and suggestions were put forward to promote high-quality development of full process mechanization of ratoon rice by optimizing structure, strengthening integration of agricultural machinery and agronomy, and plowing, planting and pipe harvesting in all aspects of agricultural machinery and equipment research and development．
