Abstract: Based on precision planter characteristics, key technologies of precision planter were analyzed and summarized from four aspects: seed metering device driving technology, seeding monitoring technology, sowing depth control technology, and variable-rate seeding technology．Advantages and disadvantages, current status, and development trends of these key technologies were discussed．Several recommendations were proposed to address existing challenges in key technologies for planters, to provide references for research advancement on precision planter and formulation of related policies．
