Abstract:
To address issues of pickup blockages and stalk entanglement in existing bundling machine, caused by hemp tall height, rich fiber, and hemp plants tough stalks, a fully enclosed, telescoping raking tooth pickup device for hemp bundling machine has been developed.Device consists of a roller, an eccentric linkage, and pickup teeth.Pickup teeth are arranged in a spiral pattern, and eccentric linkage mechanism converts rotation of roller into periodic telescopic extension and retraction of pickup teeth to achieve efficient grasping and conveying.Based on hemp mat thickness and safety clearances, an eccentric distance of ≥80 mm was determined.Combined with inclination angle of conveying device, an eccentric angle of 40° was set, and key parameters and rotational speed range for roller and pickup teeth were specified.Solidworks analysis showed that optimizing pickup teeth configuration from 4 rows to 6 rows reduced missed pickup rate, and mechanical properties of core components met standards.Field experiment indicated that pickup rates ranged from 95.80% to 97.52%, and damage rates from 1.29% to 2.20% at different walking speeds, meeting design requirements. These results provide a technical reference for mechanization upgrade of hemp industry.
