Abstract: In response to problems in integrating ideological and political education into postgraduate students cultivation process in crop genetic breeding, ideological and political education fusion strategies such as giving priority to word "agriculture" in ideology and politics, doing a good job in top-level planning, strengthening integration of ideological and political education elements throughout postgraduate students cultivation, and strengthening school system leadership were proposed．These strategies provided a reference for building a postgraduate cultivation system under pattern of "great ideological and political education"．
