Abstract: Panax notoginseng（Burkill）, as a precious traditional Chinese medicinal material, has always attracted much attention in terms of its industrial development．A comprehensive and systematic review of Panax notoginseng（Burkill）industry development process and changes in Yunnan Province was sorted out, with an in-depth examination of Yunnan Panax notoginseng（Burkill）industry's current development situation, covering key aspects such as primary cultivated varieties, production bases, product processing, brand development, and technological innovation．Research results showed that Yunnan Panax notoginseng（Burkill）industry development has been filled with ups and downs, progressing with great difficulty through continuous adjustments and optimizations．Currently, industrial development mainly faces several problems and predicaments, including fierce competition for land resources, insufficient application of technological innovation, imperfect quality control system, relatively lagging product development and processing, and insufficient integration and development．In view of this, targeted countermeasures have been proposed to optimize industrial regional layout, organize and carry out joint research and development efforts, strictly control product quality, vigorously strengthen product processing and actively promote integrated development．These strategies aim to promote high-quality development of Yunnan Panax notoginseng（Burkill）industry, enhance its status and influence in traditional Chinese medicinal material market, and provide references for related industry research．
