Abstract: Garden plant resources development is an important part of ecological environment construction and human life quality improvement．Biological breeding technology, as one of mainly means for plant genetic improvement, plays a crucial role in garden plant resources development．Basic principles, types and application value of biological breeding technology in plant resources development were elaborately explored．Through case analysis, practical application of biological breeding technology in different garden plant resources development was elucidated．Prospects for biological breeding technology in garden plant resources development were projected, importance of technological innovation was emphasized, and solutions to challenges were proposed, aiming to provide useful references for sustainable utilization and future development of garden plant resources．
