Abstract: Poplar industry in Jiangsu has been developed for more than thirty years.In this period of effort，poplar industry in Jiangsu province has become one of the new industries in the whole country，and scale is larger and more perfect.The rising and developing poplar industry has become an important measure to build a prosperous and strong democracy in all cities and counties in the whole province.This industry plays a good role in increasing farmers′ income and promoting the rapid development of rural economy.But at the same time，there are also some factors hindering its development in this industry.In view of this situation，current situation of poplar industry and restricting factors was analyzed，and corresponding countermeasures were put forward to offer reference for development of poplar industry.
