Abstract: This article introduces the situation of forestry technology and equipment of developed countries over world，analyzes the development trend in the field of forestry technology and equipment，and provides meaningful suggests for the development of forestry technology and equipment in China.According to the study，the forestry produces in developed countries are already mechanized，under which system the technology is becoming intelligent，efficient，multi-functional and large-scaled，resources and ecological protection are highlighted.So the independent R & D of important technology and equipment，policy guidance and industry management，policy of forestry technology and equipment should be strengthened.
