Abstract: The purpose of ISO11783 is to provide an open interconnected system for on-board electronic systems.It is intended to enable electronic control units（ECUs）to communicate with each other，and to provide a standardized system.Part 4 of ISO 11783 describes the network layer，which defined communication requirements and services need of control functions（CFs）in different segments of the ISO11783 network.Various types of network interconnection units were defined in this part of ISO11783.
