Abstract: Recently，mechanics practices of machinery engineering students are scarce in most agricultural and forestry universities，in which training contents are prefer to the course text rather than practical production.Thus，practical ability of mechanical design and drawing are degraded and failing gradually.To work around this omission and satisfy the requirements of educating and training outsanding engineers，a series of teaching reform of synthetic mechanic design was carried out.Firstly，main reform goal and connotation of the teaching reform were presentation.Then，synthetic practical training of mechanic design combined teaching with scientific research and production was implemented，which fully exert the advantages of scientific resources within engineering college of Huazhong Agricultural University.At the last，effect of the reformed training was evaluated and the improvement and optimization measure were put forword.Results in the study laid the foundation for further reforme of the synthetic practical training of mechanic design.
