Abstract: Certification practice of engineering education for Mechanical Design and Automation profession is intrinsic requirement of modern engineering education reform and inevitable trend.And it is good opportunity to accelerate professional construction，and improve personnel training quality for major colleges and universities.Characteristic of this profession was analyzed.Process and method of professional certification were introduced.Taking Huazhong University of Science and Technology as an example，certification practice of engineering education for Mechanical Design and Automation profession was introduced.Important role of engineering education accreditation was summarized.
