Abstract: Importance of dry land transplanting was expounded.Development situation of dry land transplanting machine industry at home and abroad was analyzed.Gaps and problems of transplanting machine in China were proposed.Development direction was pointed out.Some suggestions were put forward which included combination of agricultural machinery and agronomy，increasing varieties of transplanting machine，technology improvement and function expansion of semi automatic transplanting，and developing automatic transplanter.
