Abstract: Mechanical cotton picking is an important way to solve cotton harvest.Development course and research status of cotton picker in home and abroad were expounded.Working principle，advantages and disadvantages of different cotton picker types were analyzed.Developing trend of cotton picker in home and abroad were explored.High performance cotton picker that was suitable for national conditions and had completely independent intellectual property rights should be researched.
