Abstract: China is a large coarse cereals producing country.Mechanical harvesting of coarse cereals has become a major constraint to development of coarse cereals industry.Combined with China′s actual production of coarse cereals，based on analysis of harvesting mechanization status quo for millet，buckwheat，oats，barley and other coarse cereals，problems of mechanization harvesting for coarse cereals were discussed.The technology and equipment required for mechanization harvesting of coarse cereals were put forward.
