Abstract: Land reclamation engineering has become an important project favorable to people.Land reclamation engineering development trend under new situation was analyzed.It has important significance to guide land reclamation project，and realize change of government function.On the basis of expounding development process of land consolidation，insufficiency of current land reclamation work，such as inadequate preparation，inadequate planning and design，unreasonable project construction and poor supervision，was summed up.Further more，from the 3 aspects of strengthening supervision，increasing publicity and increasing management and protection of later period，comprehensive benefits of land consolidation projects would be improved.Finally，combined with current economic and social development trend，the land consolidation project mainly to diversified development，‘land remediation+poverty’alleviation has become a trend，‘big and strong，small and fine’land renovation become two future development directions.
