Abstract: Forage is basis for development of livestock and poultry production，especially production of herbivorous livestock.Forage contains not only all kinds of nutrients necessary for livestock，but also crude fiber which is very important for maintaining ruminant health，which can not be replaced by food and other feeds.China is a big country of forage production，but mechanization level of forage production is not high，which not only affects yield and quality of forage，but also affects income of farmers and herdsmen.In order to produce high quality forage，mechanization technology of forage planting and production were introduced，which including sowing，field management and harvest segment.
