Abstract: In order to solve problems of high intensity，low efficiency and high cost of manual work，cultivation of sweet potato in Miyun district had been dominated by manual weeding，experiment of 2TD-S2 cultivator was carried out.Results showed that this sweet potato cultivator could eliminate weeds and cover soil in furrow in one time，and it could effectively solve problem of soil ridge collapse in field management.80% of weeds could be removed in the gentle seedling stage of sweet potato within 10 cm of ridge and slope height.If grass damage was serious，it could be used for many times in intertillage to eliminate weed damage.Labor productivity of this machine had been greatly increased compared with manual transplanting，and production cost was lower.This machine was suitable for transplanting potato seedlings in the suburbs of Beijing，the utility model could be popularized and applied in practical production.
