Abstract: Research situation of capsicum harvester at home and abroad was introduced.A self-propelled capsicum harvester suitable for Shanxi province was designed according to planting agronomy.Field test showed that this machine had stable operation performance，high efficiency， high picking rate，low loss rate，simple operation，time-saving and labor-saving.It liberated majority of capsicum growers from traditional manual picking method and it had good economic and social benefits.It filled blank of self-propelled capsicum harvester in Shanxi province.
