Abstract: There are a series of problems in production of rhizome traditional Chinese medicine in China，such as low degree of mechanization，slow development of mechanization and unbalanced regional development.Many production links still use traditional manual methods，with high labor intensity and low production efficiency，which seriously restricts development of traditional Chinese medicine in China.Present situation of mechanization in production of rhizome traditional Chinese medicine was introduced，and corresponding suggestions were put forward.
