Abstract: After collecting and analyzing application research status of livestock and poultry growth information collection and livestock and poultry image processing represented by domestic pigs，combined with modern pig raising technology and Jinhua pig growth habits，it was pointed out that Jinhua pig breeding industry urgently need to introduce accurate breeding technology and supporting intelligent breeding facilities in four aspects，which included pig body size measurement，pig weight estimation，intelligent feeding equipment （metabolic cage） and digital management，in order to realize modern breeding and management of Jinhua pigs.
