Abstract: Research status of variable rate fertilization and real-time monitoring automatic variable rate fertilization based on prescription map at home and abroad were described.Through analysis of key technologies of speed monitoring technology，fertilization prescription generation technology and fertilizer flow monitoring technology in precision variable rate fertilization technology，advantages and disadvantages of different monitoring technologies and generation methods were compared.In view of existing problems in research of variable rate fertilization technology in China，development suggestions were put forward.
