Abstract: Potato is the fourth major grain in China and all localities pay more and more attention to potato planting.However，continuous high production cost and low economic benefit of potato restrict its further development.Production situation and regional characteristics of four major potato producing areas in China were summaried.Factors affecting potato planting efficiency were analyzed.Measures to improve benefit were put forward.It provided reference for further promoting high-quality and efficient production of potato.
