Abstract: Hydraulic transmission is a basic course for mechanical, electromechanical and agricultural engineering majors．As an agricultural university, teaching team combined teaching exploration and scientific research practice in mechanization of rapeseed tillage, planting, field management and harvesting in recent years, and introduced practical cases of hydraulic technology used in field of agricultural machinery and equipment according to key chapters of textbook．Then ideological and political cases and elements were analyzed in depth, and ideological and political goal of "improving professional self-confidence, cultivating craftsman spirit, and stimulating patriotic feelings" were proposed．On this basis, teaching methods and means were innovated, further improving professional quality and professional knowledge and skills of students majoring in agricultural engineering, and also providing reference for ideological and political education of similar courses for agricultural universities．
