Abstract: As forage harvesting machinery，self-propelled forage modulation harvester plays a vital role on ecological construction，western development and development of ecological livestock husbandry.Its development will offer a powerful technical support for improving mechanization level of livestock husbandry.Research situation，development history and trends of self-propelled forage modulation harvester were analyzed.It provided reference for China to develop self-propelled forage modulation harvester which was suitable for national conditions.
