Abstract: Seven characteristics，such as vehicle electrical system low voltage，DC，single wire system，parallel connection，cathode board iron，equipped with safety device and automotive line color and number，were introduced.Thought and methods for modern automobile electrical fault diagnosis used those characteristics were analyzed.
