Abstract:
Against backdrop of emerging engineering construction, engineering education confronts an imminent need to transition from knowledge transmission to competency cultivation.Taking C Language Program Design course as an example, a teaching reform model integrating outcome-based education(OBE)and conceive-design-implement-operate(CDIO)concept was proposed to address issues in conventional teaching methodologies, such as an overemphasis on syntax at expense of practical application, monotonous instructional approaches, and an inadequate evaluation system.By restructuring curricular content, innovating pedagogical methods, and establishing a multi-dimensional assessment system, a student-centered, project-based blended online-offline teaching model has been constructed.Teaching practice have demonstrated that this reform not only significantly enhances students' academic performance and practical capabilities while positively transforming their learning attitudes and interests, but also concurrently improves instructors' teaching capabilities and course construction quality. This provides preliminary validation that OBE-CDIO integrated model is well-suited for foundational engineering courses reform, and can effectively foster students' competency development and comprehensive quality enhancement. As a transferable pathway for curriculum reform in agricultural engineering disciplines, this approach holds substantial practical significance for advancing engineering education innovation within context of emerging engineering education.
