Abstract:
Aiming challenges such as sesame seeds' small volume, light weight, and susceptibility to environmental influence, as well as unsatisfactory sowing accuracy, seed protection, and uniformity during planting process, a hole type sesame precision seeder was designed.This device could control sowing accuracy and reduce seed damage during sowing process.Structure and working principle of seed-metering device were described.Through simulation, different holes types sizes and structures were compared and analyzed, and seed-metering tray with hole types was optimized.Field testing results showed that optimal quality index for sesame seeds were achieved at seed-metering device rotation speed of 15 r/min.A valuable reference for sesame precision sowing was provided.
